Aidcall Wireless Nurse Call System
Flixton Manor is proud to announce the installation of our new state of
the art nurse call system in November 2010.
This is a brand new wireless system that connects to a main screens
around the home to provide a modern, sleek looking system that will improve our communication with residents in
their rooms and the overall care that we provide at Flixton Manor.
The system has many benefits that we are looking forward to, one being
the ability to display information to our nurses and care staff about the current needs of our
residents.
When a resident calls for a member of staff, the system will display
certain key information relating to that resident ie. Their current care plan needs. This will give staff who have
just come onto their shift a better knowledge of what that particular resident requires and therefore will approach
them with these needs in mind. This keeps staff better informed and in a better position to monitor and deliver the
appropriate care and support.
Another great advantage for management is the ability to track all
calls and responses. We can now see exactly how long our staff take to respond to calls and even track the actions
that they have taken. The system informs us whether the situation required the support of more than one carer or
nurse and even if their was any need to elevate this to an emergency situation.
The great thing about tracking the time it takes staff to respond is we
can now try and meet new targets of a 2 minute response time that we have set ourselves and are able
to monitor whether we are meeting our targets.
We greatly anticipate its installation and look forward to moving onto
a system used by many leading healthcare professionals.
