Arts and Crafts

One morning per week we hold an arts and crafts session which involves as many residents as willing to join in.

The Activities Co-ordinator will have a theme in mind depending on the season and any up and coming events in the home.

This could be card making sessions, painting posters and signs for in house events, creating collages for display or a “free and easy.”

These mornings are always great fun, and we often have some surprising results with the art work.

All our arts and crafts are on display for all our relatives and friends to admire.  Handmade cards are given to visiting relatives or posted out to farther away visitors so that all can enjoy the fruits of the residents' labour.

As Flixton Manor is the resident's home and we want them to feel at home, their input is always valued and the feedback from them is that they enjoy being involved, especially when preparing for events in the home.
